Description
Job loss can be catastrophic. Recent events have raised the level of fear and uncertainty throughout our communities to a level not experienced for four generations. Those confronted with sudden and unexpected job loss face multiple challenges. Compounding the loss, is a new degree of economic challenges. The loss of income, stability, esteem, self-efficacy, and personal sense of agency can feel overwhelming. This workshop is the result of both professional experience and academic research. It focuses on helping clients (a) recover from the crisis of job loss; (b) restore hope and sense of personal agency; (c) assess and identify sources of psychological strengths; and (d) coach clients for a successful career transition launch.
